In fairness to Fabianski he has gone from a total liability to an adept number 2 during his time at Arsenal. The Polish stopper was once dubbed ‘Flappyhandski’ during his career, but recent performances against the likes of Liverpool have gone a long way to changing this unfair label. Fabianski is on his way out of Arsenal with just a few months left on his existing deal and a host of top European clubs including Schalke waiting to snap him up in June. The irony here is that Fabianski has arguably got too good to be just an understudy, and this is perhaps the reason Arsenal see fit to allow him to move on.
