The biggest current concern for Wenger should be to tie Bacary Sagna down to a long-term contract. He’s been one of the most consistent performers for Arsenal over the past few years and the Gunners should move heaven and earth to sign him up. Carl Jenkinson isn’t ready yet to take his place as Arsenal’s first choice right-back, so if Sagna does depart, this may be the first area Wenger looks for reinforcements. There has been talk of Lukasz Piszczek from Borussia Dortmund being a target, whilst Wenger remains an admirer of Toulouse’s Ivorian Serge Aurier, who has expressed his desire to play for Arsenal one day.
