Per Mertesacker has praised the “defensive level” of Arsenal Football Club so far this season.
Since the beginning of the 2012/13 Premier League campaign the Gunners have conceded just 5 times and the appointment of Assistant Manager Steve Bould has been hailed as a key influence on the Arsenal back four.
Mertesacker, however, is all too aware with games coming thick and fast that Arsenal need to maintain their high standards continuing to keep it tight and shipping as few goals as possible.
“We just need to keep concentrating on our defensive level,” he told Sky Sports.
The 28-year-old also reiterated the importance of squad rotation and keeping things fresh as well as developing new players adding, “The manager said he would change sometimes and I think that’s great for our development.”
Arsenal travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich in a 5.30 kick off on 20th October after the international break.
