Olivier Giroud is experiencing groundhog day in the Premier League this season, with the French striker fighting back from the fringes of the starting XI to become a crucial player for Arsenal.Last year it was Theo Walcott who started the season leading the line, before Giroud pushed back to reclaim his starting spot, and this time round Giroud has seemingly snatched the starting role back off Alexis Sanchez.Heavily criticised during his Arsenal career, Giroud has certainly proved his worth to the Gunners this season and has scored in each of the last three games for Arsene Wenger's side- which, intriguingly, are his only three starts in the Premier League this season. When selected though, Giroud has been incredibly efficient and his record this season speaks for itself.

Netting six Premier League goals this season, three of those have been winning goals whilst two, coming last night against Bournemouth and earlier this season against Manchester United, have been late equalisers.

In this form, Giroud simply cannot be dropped by Arsenal and it gives the Gunners a new dimension to their attack- which could see a resurgence in the form of the North London giants.
