Here’s a curious question for Arsenal fans – if you had to make an entire Gunners starting XI from just one player, who would you choose?
Could anyone get the ball off eleven Mesut Ozils? Then again, could Mesut Ozil put up anything close to a fight against long balls into the box if he lined up alongside himself at centre-half? The same applies to Alexis Sanchez, but he’d at least offer a little more energy than the work-shy German playmaker.
Perhaps someone like Aaron Ramsey or Sead Kolasinac would be more applicable; they’re capable of playing in a few different positions and offer a nice balance between dynamism, athleticism and technical ability.
Then there’s Olivier Giroud – eleven of them would have plenty of goalscoring prowess and could do a decent job in defence as well, but would he be able to successfully deliver the ball from the back to the attack?
Opinions here at Football FanCast are incredibly divided, so we’re handing the debate over to Arsenal fans. Let us know which player you’d make an entire Arsenal XI from by voting below…
