Arsenal have endured a turbulent start to the season and the performances of Mesut Ozil have not been up to scratch.

The former Real Madrid man has struggled to adjust to the rigours of Unai Emery's tactics and has not completed 90 minutes since the opening weekend's defeat to Manchester City, while he was later dropped for the hosting of West Ham.

Emery cited illness as the reason for Ozil's absence but many have speculated that was merely a cover story, although the Germany World Cup winner did return for Arsenal's 3-2 victory over Cardiff prior to the international break.

The Gunners are back in action this weekend as they travel to face a struggling Newcastle United side and Emery has a huge decision to make as to whether to stick with Ozil, who was a huge favourite under Arsene Wenger, or to drop him from the line-up once again.

While he is one of the best around when he is at the top of his game, he simply hasn't shown that so far this season and should find himself on the bench at St James' Park.

So, Arsenal fans, should Emery stick with Ozil in his line-up against Newcastle? Or should he be dropped? Have your say in our poll below...
