HYS: Should Leno replace Cech as Arsenal number one after the international break?

Many would have assumed that Arsenal manager Unai Emery intended to replace Petr Cech when Bernd Leno signed from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.

However, that has not bene the case as Cech has started all four of the Gunners’ Premier League matches this season.

The 36-year-old is in the latter stages of his career and there have been indications that he is not entirely comfortable playing Emery’s new system.

The Spanish coach likes to play out from the back, and there have been incidences where Cech has struggled with the ball at his feet.

At the weekend, the North London outfit had a frantic match as they came out 3-2 winners over Cardiff City.

Arsenal are yet to keep a clean sheet this season having conceded eight goals in four outings.

Leno has had to watch from the sidelines, but perhaps after the international break when the team return for an away clash against Newcastle United, the 26-year-old should be given the nod?
