Thursday night’s Europa League clash was another fixture for Mikel Arteta and his troops but Arsenal eventually recorded an important 1-0 victory over Olympiacos.
The Gunners needed a late Alexandre Lacazette strike to seal the deal and take a victory away from the Karaiskakis stadium but they won’t care about the timing of the goal one bit.
Needless to say, the travelling away fans were thrilled with the result, as was Ian Wright, who was also in attendance and following his beloved team in their European conquest.
In the aftermath of proceedings, he shared a video on Instagram, expressing his love for the supporters who were bursting their lungs and singing “Ian Wright, Wright, Wright” to him following the referee’s final whistle.
All in all, this was a huge victory for the Gunners and they will be feeling confident of progressing to the next round in light of the result.
Since the winter break, Arsenal have dismantled Newcastle 4-0 and have now recorded another difficult victory on the road.
Whatever they are doing right now, it seems to be working wonders.
