According to Spanish Outlet, Don Balon, Arsenal are one of several European teams who are interested in signing Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio.
Don Balon reports that Arsenal, alongside Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Juventus, are interested in the services of Marco Asensio.
The 22-year-old – valued at £45m by transfermarkt.com – has fallen out of prominence at Real this season, and Isco is widely regarded as Madrid’s main star.
The report also states that Alvaro Morata has been trying to persuade his fellow compatriot to join him at Chelsea. Thus it is clear that Arsenal are facing an abundance of competition to sign the playmaker.
Despite his age, the Spaniard has featured quite noticeably for the La Liga champions over the course of the past two seasons.
He featured on 38 occasions last term, scoring a total of ten goals as Los Blancos won the Champions League and the La Liga title.
While his team have deteriorated this season, the 22-year-old’s form has arguably improved. The former Mallorca star has scored ten goals in 35 games for Real Madrid, and there’s plenty of time to increase that total.
One of Asensio’s key assets is his versatility. He can operate in a multitude of attacking positions, and he also can function as a midfielder.
In a similar manner to his versatility, the Spaniard is regarded for his various attributes. Naturally, as a Spaniard, one of his primary strengths is his passing ability. Additionally, he is exceedingly dangerous from set-piece situations, and he flaunts tremendous dribbling ability.
At the age of 22, it is logical to suggest that we’ve yet to see the best of Asensio, which is incredibly exciting news for those clubs interested in his services. Without question, he would be a terrific signing for most Premier League teams.
