International team-mate urges Arsenal star to join him at Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal has urged Arsenal ace Alexis Sanchez to join him at Bayern Munich in the near future.

Sanchez has been recently linked with a move away from the Emirates, with the 27-year-old being targeted by the likes of Serie A champions Juventus and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.

Incoming Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti is set to undergo a squad overhaul when he replaces current boss Pep Guardiola at the end of the campaign, and has put the former Udinese star on his transfer wishlist.

And Vidal, who is Sanchez’s international team-mate with Chile, is hoping that Bayern follow up on their interest in the attacking midfielder by making a summer bid.

Prompted whether he believed in the speculation, Vidal replied (as quoted by Metro): “Hopefully!”

“We have played together since playing for the Under-20s, so it would be nice to play with him again!”

The Gunners will, however, be reluctant to sell him though, with Sanchez one of their most valuable assets following his move from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.

This season, Sanchez has made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and supplying 11 assists.
