Jack Wilshere sale ruled out

Jack Wilshere's injury problemsArsene Wenger has ruled out cashing in on Jack Wilshere and says he hopes to add three quality players to his Arsenal squad.

Following another trophyless season, the Gunners boss could be given as much as £70million to spend on new players, but there have also been suggestions the club’s top players could also be the subject of interest.

Top names such as Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie and Samir Nasri have all left the Emirates Stadium in recent seasons but Wenger insists there will be no star departures this time around.

European Champions Bayern Munich have been heavily linked with a swoop for Wilshere but Wenger has ruled out a deal and says he wants to strengthen his squad not weaken it.

“We won’t be selling any of our top players this time around and that includes Jack Wilshere,” Wenger revealed. “We’ll be adding at least three significant signings.”

Stevan Jovetic and Ashley Williams are thought to be high on Wenger’s wanted list while there have also been suggestions a shock bid for Wayne Rooney could be on the cards.
