Jack Wilshere's representatives have approached Paris Saint-Germain regarding a possible deal for the Arsenal midfielder, according to L'Equipe.

What's the word?

Wilshere's contract at Arsenal expires this summer and the 26-year-old is yet to put pen to paper on fresh terms.

Arsene Wenger, who left his role as manager at the end of the season following a 22-year spell, regularly insisted to the media that the club want Wilshere to stay.

If the England international decides against signing a new deal, then it seems that PSG is a possible destination.

According to L'Equipe, Wilshere's camp have offered their client to the Ligue 1 giants, who have been crowned title winners seven times.

Would this be a good move for Wilshere?

Having the opportunity to play for a team that regularly fights for titles and trophies would be appealing for any footballer.

However, Wilshere has a blot on his record due to regular injury problems, which has prevented him from cementing a first-team spot at Arsenal.

For the majority of this season the midfielder was injury-free, but even if he does maintain a clean bill of health, he has plenty of competition for places.

PSG already have the likes of Marco Verratti and Adrien Rabiot at their disposal, so it is difficult to envisage many starting opportunities for Wilshere.
