Arsenal are keeping tabs on Fulham’s Clint Dempsey with a view of a summer move, according to the Daily Express.

The American has been in sparkling form this season with 20 goals from midfield and with Dempsey stalling over a new deal at Craven Cottage, the Gunners are looking to the 29-year-old to bring another dimension to their midfield.

While Dempsey has certainly not hinted of wanting to leave Craven Cottage, the prospect of playing Champions League football next season would certainly be attractive as the American has made no secret in the past of his desire to one day play in the competition.

Reports suggest that Fulham will be holding out for at least £10m for Dempsey, who has 18 months remaining on his current deal. Martin Jol has confirmed that Fulham have offered him a two-year extension to his existing deal and is attempting to talk him into committing his long term future to the club.
