Juventus are now set to push for Leicester City star N’Golo Kante this summer following a knee ligament injury suffered by first-team midfielder Claudio Marchisio, according to reports from Gazzetta World.
Kante has been heavily linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium this season, with the France international having enjoyed a break-out campaign in the East Midlands, helping the Foxes to the top of the Premier League table.
His displays have attracted Arsenal’s interest, with Arsene Wenger keen on adding a defensive midfielder into his ranks.
However, Serie A champions Juve are set to make the first move for Kante’s services after news that star man Marchisio tore his anterior cruciate ligament against Palermo this past weekend.
The injury will see the Italy international miss Euro 2016 as well as the first quarter of next season, moving up their plans to sign either Kante or Valencia ace Andre Gomes this summer.
Kante, 25, has been in incredible form for Leicester this season, making 36 appearances in all competitions and has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year.
