As reported by Goal.com, Arsenal are interested in signing Chelsea winger Kenedy this summer.

What's the story?

This summer is one of transition for the Gunners after Unai Emery replaced Arsene Wenger as manager and the club are expected to do plenty of business in the transfer window as the Spaniard looks to reshape the first team squad.

One player that could arrive at the Emirates is Chelsea winger Kenedy, who must recently had a spell on loan at Newcastle United.

That's according to Goal, who say that Arsenal are interested in his services alongside RB Leipzig, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

Rated at £6.3m by Transfermarkt, is he a player Arsenal should be moving for this summer?

Good enough for Arsenal?

While Kenedy undoubtedly has a lot of potential and is progressing well in the Premier League, he isn't quite at the elite level that Arsenal require to become challengers for major honours once again.

With two goals and two assists for Newcastle in 13 Premier League appearances, he did help them steer clear of relegation, but did have dips in form and wasn't the most consistent player in his loan spell there.

At 22 years of age, that's perhaps to be expected, but the Gunners should be looking at other transfer targets this summer that can immediately improve their first team.
