Alexandre Lacazette felt the struggle when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signed for Arsenal in January.

The Frenchman had only been at the North London outfit for half a season when manager Arsene Wenger recruited Aubameyang.

At that time, Lacazette was already finding it difficult to finish 90 minutes on the pitch, and his match time became even more limited after the turn of the year.

In fact, in the second half of the season, the striker made 17 appearances in all competitions and in only eight of them did he finish a full game.

By the end of the 2017-18 campaign, Lacazette had scored 17 goals and created four assists.

The former Lyon player earned plenty of support from Arsenal's fanbase towards the closing stages of the campaign, but he failed to impress France manager Didier Deschamps.

The hitman has not been included in the squad for this summer's World Cup in Russia, but to be fair to Deschamps, he had plenty of attacking talent to choose from.

Arsenal fans have been giving their reactions to the snub online.
