Laurent Koscielny has turned to yoga in hopes of aiding recovery from Achilles rupture

Laurent Koscielny is one of Arsenal’s key figures but has not featured at the Emirates Stadium since rupturing his Achilles tendon against Atletico Madrid back in May.

Six months on the sidelines and another few weeks to go has got the French defender itching to return and take on unconventional methods to speed up his recovery.

Yoga appears to be the centre-back’s answer judging by the 6 foot 1 club captain’s Instagram account, where he took a moment to thank Sharon from Football Yoga who has been helping the defender find his spiritual relaxation.

Thanks @footballyoga @sharon_footballyoga for being part of my rehab #yoga #footballyoga #namaste

Keeping his ageing limbs as loose as possible should help 33-year-old Koscielny impress his new boss Unai Emery, given he is yet to feature for the Spaniard since he arrived in the summer.

Going on his post on Instagram, there’s still some way to go before he’ll be posing in the more advanced positions, currently just keeping it simple with a warrior pose.
