Olivier Giroud isn’t the most high-profile of stars in the Premier League but he’s proved his worth to Arsenal, having found the net in all four of his last appearances for the Gunners heading into yesterday’s clash with Bournemouth.
Whilst the Frenchman didn’t manage to continue his goalscoring run in the 3-1 victory over the Cherries, Giroud did manage to set-up Alexis Sanchez’ second goal and put the game beyond doubt, extending Arsenal’s unbeaten run across all competitions to 19 matches.
Giroud has excelled off the bench this season, having been forced out of the starting line-up by the aforementioned Alexis. Unfortunately though, Gary Lineker believes he may have to stay put for now.
The problem with scoring regularly and making the odd assist from the bench is that you might just get stuck on there permanently. #Giroud

With Arsenal facing a run of difficult matches in the next month, with six on the schedule, the Gunners may have to switch things up at times and Giroud will certainly be an exceptional understudy for the Premier League title hopefuls.
Having remained unbeaten for the last 12 league matches, you wouldn’t bet against the Gunners marching to the top of the standings.
