Liverpool have NOT made a bid for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka despite reports, according to the Daily Star.
There had been suggestions the Reds have submitted an offer for the Swiss international, who is also understood to be interesting Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The Daily Express, citing German news outlet Blid, suggested a whopping £37.6m offer had been tabled by the Merseyside giants.
The 23-year old has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in the Bundesliga, a league current Anfield chief Jurgen Klopp knows very well.
A versatile operator, Xhaka is equally comfortable in a holding role as he is further forward in the engine room, making him one of the most attractive options in European football.
However, the German club have confirmed they have not received a single offer for the playmaker despite the plethora of reported interest.
‘There are no offers, there is no figure I have seen in black and white and there is no contract with Arsenal’, confirmed Monchengladbach sporting director Max Erbel.
