Former Arsenal and Manchester United star Robin van Persie is in talks with La Liga giants Barcelona over a potential January move, according to the Metro.
The Dutch international left Old Trafford this summer, moving to Turkish titans Fenerbahce, signing a three-year deal.
However, he has failed to settle in Turkey, with reports suggesting he has a poor relationship with manager Vitor Pereira.
Back in 2012, he infamously left Arsenal to join the Red Devils, and lead the club to their last league title under Sir Alex Ferguson during the 2012-13 campaign.
Now, the Catalan juggernauts are believed to have been in contact with the 32-year old’s representatives over a potential move, as they search for reinforcements to the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
Having been unable to register summer arrivals Alex Vidal and Arda Turan following FIFA sanctions, the Blaugrana are set to freshen up their squad at the turn of the year.
