There are bound to be huge changes coming Arsenal's way now that Mikel Arteta has arrived, replacing Freddie Ljungberg in the process.

The Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang case

In a season that has mostly gone wrong for the Gunners, Aubameyang has been their shining light.

After all, the pacy Gabon forward has already rattled the inside of the net 11 times in the Premier League, basically carrying the team on his shoulders.

But his future at the club seems all but certain. Some reports even stated that Aubameyang is thinking of leaving Arsenal behind.

Losing him could spell disaster for the Gunners as he's responsible for 11 out of their 24 goals in the Premier League.

Convincing him to stay - at least until the summer - should top the new gaffer's list of priorities.

Strengthening the backline

When your defence has managed to leak 27 goals in the first 18 games in the Premier League, you know you have a problem on your hands, and this particular one will need sorting pretty quickly if Arteta wants to stop the bleeding.

Between the centre-backs the Gunners have available, none really have the obvious qualities to get them back on track.

The likes of David Luiz, Mustafi and Sokratis have all been heavily criticised by fans recently and getting a new and reliable option in would be a wise move by Arteta.

If he can somehow fix their defensive woes, there just might be hope for them after all.
