Newcastle braced for Arsenal £20m raid

Arsenal will have to pay around £20m to push through a deal for Moussa Sissoko with Newcastle ready for offers, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The France international has already spoken of his love for the Gunners and revealed that it would be a dream to play for them, which has led to subsequent links regarding a move from the North East to London.

However, Magpies boss John Carver has revealed that on “ridiculous” offers will be enough for his midfield star, with bids in the region of £20m thought to be acceptable.

Although this public stance suggests that they’re willing to fight off any moves, Newcastle fans are worried that the club are inviting interest and actively chasing such a sum.

Any sale would mark a massive profit for the ‘Toon’, who paid Toulouse just £1.5m for Sissoko two years ago.

The box-to-box star has also been linked with Liverpool.
