Arsenal fans have a lot to be happy about right now. The Gunners are unbeaten since the opening day of the campaign, have won six league matches on the spin, are only off the top of the Premier League table by virtue of goal difference and sit above Spurs, even though the Lilywhites have their proud ‘only unbeaten side in the division’ record intact.
As well as this, Arsene Wenger’s Gunners head into this weekend on the back of a 6-0 Champions League win. It’s all coming up rosy in the red half of north London.
However, there is one (or should we say two) issue bubbling away in the background: the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. The Chilean and German stars are, arguably, Arsenal’s two key players, but their contracts are both due to expire in 2018 – meaning that as each day passes, their valuation dips and their chances of staying put wane a little further. The Times claim that each wants £250,000-per-week to remain at the Emirates Stadium, which got us thinking: which player with Gooners rather keep?
Well, we put the question to you guys, and the results are in…
As you can see, the jury is out on this one, with 52% in favour of Ozil and 48% in Team Sanchez.
Hopefully it doesn’t come down to a case of one over the other, as the Gunners’ top brass may even struggle to pick between them!
