Lucas Perez has failed to set the world alight since his move to Arsenal.
The Spaniard signed for the Gunners from Deportivo La Coruna in 2016, but he struggled to maintain a place in Arsene Wenger’s team.
As a result, Perez was loaned to Deportivo for the 2017-18 campaign, and he had more luck with regards to playing time.
The forward made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and creating eight assists.

With Unai Emery now in charge of Arsenal, it is unclear whether Perez will be in the manager’s plans.
The former Paris Saint-Germain coach already has Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck at his disposal, so there would not be much room for Perez.
However, the 29-year-old is able to play just behind the striker or as a winger on the right-hand side.
In an exclusive interview with The Laziali, the Spaniard’s agency Protio Sport confirmed that Perez will return to the Gunners for pre-season training and that “his desire is to succeed there”.
In response to these claims, Arsenal fans posted their thoughts on Reddit, with some keen for the club to give the forward another chance.
