Petr Cech has been Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper since his switch from Chelsea in 2015, but it looks as though things are about to change.

The 36-year-old, who won four Premier League titles during his time at Stamford Bridge, is expected to lose his place to Bernd Leno.

New manager Unai Emery recruited the keeper from Bayer Leverkusen earlier this summer and the German is expected to go straight into the first XI.

According to a report in Goal, Cech has rejected an opportunity to join Napoli in order to fight for the number one spot at the Emirates.

The experienced shot-stopper told reporters in Zruc that his future is at Arsenal, despite the fact that he is likely to receive less minutes on the pitch.

David Ospina has so far been second fiddle to Cech, but now he is likely to drop down the pecking order even further if his teammate is not willing to look elsewhere.
