PSG boss blasts Arsenal target for lack of respect

PSG boss Laurent Blanc has blasted young star Adrien Rabiot for handing in a transfer request amid Premier League interest, according to the Metro.

The French youngster has been linked with North London duo Tottenham and Arsenal in recent months despite getting a run of first team games in the absence of Marco Verratti.

A France Under-21 international, he has been touted as one of the hottest prospects in world football after coming through the ranks in the French capital.

However, he is still understood to be frustrated with his lack of game time when everyone is fit.

Recent reports have suggested that Gunners chief Arsene Wenger has opened talks with the midfielder following a series of injuries to his engine room, including key duo Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla.

However, former Manchester United defender and current PSG coach Blanc has criticised the young star after asking to leave the Ligue 1 champions on loan.

‘It annoys me’, blasted the former French national manager.

‘Adrien has to understand that when you have the possibility of going at the end of your contract and to leave for free, you can do it.’

‘Otherwise, when you sign a contract of five years with PSG, you have to respect your first club.’
