After so many years of Arsenal players knowing they have the full trust of a manager who had been around the club so long that he had made every decision there is to make, suddenly they will all have to prove themselves again when Arsene Wenger's successor takes the reigns ahead of next season.

That could put the cat amongst the pigeons somewhat until it becomes clear which of Wenger's players the new man actually rates - and there are some divisive players in the Gunners ranks - but one man who will be looking to take advantage is Aaron Ramsey.

The Welshman - valued at £36m by Transfermarkt - scored Arsenal's crucial second goal as they saw off West Ham 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium and put in a performance that could well have been a marker being laid down.

As well as his goal, he also notched up an assist to carry on an impressive run of form. He also got four shots and three key passes away, so on another day could have further added to his stats.

Four dribbles also show a man who is comfortable driving his team forward from midfield and one key question the new Arsenal manager - whoever he may be - will have to answer is how best to deploy him in order to allow Ramsey to do just that but without exposing his defence at the same time.
