There is a sense of deja vu at Arsenal as Aaron Ramsey’s future continues to be unresolved.
The midfielder’s current contract expires at the end of the season, which means that he would be able to leave the club for nothing if he opts against signing fresh terms.
It also means that the Wales international will be eligible to speak to clubs in January regarding a summer switch.
This time last year, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil were in the same situation at the Emirates.
The former ended up leaving in the winter window to embark on a new career at Manchester United, while Ozil penned fresh terms to become Arsenal’s highest-paid player.
According to the Daily Mail, Ramsey will not make a decision regarding his future until January.
Negotiations have been ongoing for months and there is still dialogue between the two parties, but as it stands, the midfielder will focus on football matters until midway through the season.
Ramsey has been hot and cold throughout his 10-year spell at the North London outfit, and now it appears that he will be at the centre of another lengthy transfer saga at Arsenal.
Some fans have posted their thoughts on the latest development via Twitter.

He will pull an Ozil … trying to get as much money as he can. Either bench him or sell him.

Let him leave then if he doesn’t want to be committed. Blokes a complete liability without the ball anyway

That dude can stew on the bench. Invest in our youngsters. Play Iwobi at the ten if Ozil doesn’t play and we’re still running that formation.

Drop him then simple as. You don’t want to commit to the club then you can leave.
