Following another poor season on the road for Arsenal, the Gunners can actually record their third successive away win when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Wednesday night.

Unai Emery's men will look to regain their spot in the top four in the clash in the west Midlands, having dropped to fifth place as a result of losing 3-2 at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday, coupled with Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

That result ensured they fell out of the Champions League qualification spots, but they have a chance to put things right against Nuno Santo's side.

Stuart Attwell was announced as the man who would be officiating the upcoming match last week, and a closer look at his record this season suggests the north London outfit could be in for another rare success on their travels.

According to WhoScored, of the 18 Premier League fixtures the 36-year-old has been the man in the middle for this term, eight have ended in three points for the visitors (44.4%) – the exact same record as for the home team.

That away percentage is the joint-third highest of any referee, while he has the 11th-highest for home victories.

Those omens are certainly good for Arsenal as they look to build on successive wins and clean sheets on the road against Watford and Napoli respectively this month, having been beaten in six of their previous 15 Premier League matches away from the Emirates.

Perhaps Emery has finally found a successful formula as we reach the climax of the campaign, although the performance against the Hornets was hardly convincing given they played against 10 men for the majority of the game and were still often second-best.

What is certain is that a win on Wednesday would be a huge boost for the Gunners, and they are coming up against a Wolves side that look out-of-sorts following their FA Cup capitulation earlier in April.
