New Arsenal manager Unai Emery will have an opportunity to give some the club’s lesser used squad players and rising young stars a chance to show their quality when the Gunners take on Brentford at the Emirates Stadium in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.

Amongst the youngsters in contention for inclusion in the starting XI is Eddie Nketiah. The 19-year-old striker made his debut for the club last season and soon after that he came on as a substitute in a home EFL Cup clash with Norwich City. The England under-21 international bagged a match-winning brace against the Canaries.

Nketiah went on to make a total of ten senior appearances for Arsenal last time out and confirmed himself as the most exciting striking talent to have emerged at the North London club in years. Arsenal fans are certainly keen to see more of the teenager, who has been prolific at every level of the Gunners’ youth academy.
