Arsenal fans have been debating a move for World Cup winner Steven N’Zonzi, and the overwhelming majority of fans want the Frenchman to replace Granit Xhaka.
Last week, a report from Sky Sports claimed Arsenal are in talks with Sevilla over a summer swoop for N’Zonzi.
The 29 year-old replaced N’Golo Kante in Sunday’s World Cup final, and the French team instantly looked calmer and more solid after the substitution.
The towering 6 ft 5 defensive midfielder has already played in the Premier League with Stoke to no avail, but has been a huge hit in La Liga for Sevilla.
New signings Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Lucas Torreria will all be expected to take places in the starting eleven this season, and adding N’Zonzi could bring an extra element of toughness and steel to Unai Emery’s midfield.
Fans have been considering what the Frenchman’s arrival could mean for Granit Xhaka, and a whopping 72 per cent of them would rather N’Zonzi start alongside Torreira.
