During Arsenal’s recent disappointing 1-1 draw with Wolves at the Emirates Stadium, left-back Sead Kolasinac failed to produce the kind of performance that will see him usurp Nacho Monreal as the first-choice option.

With the Spaniard currently injured, Kolasinac is as good as guaranteed of getting a spell in the side. With him yet to truly convince for the Gunners though, his long-term future with the north London club must be in doubt.

Playmaker FC’s Theo Ogden was at the Emirates to witness Arsenal's qualification for the Europa League last 32. Check out his match diary in the video below…

Since joining the club as a free agent in the summer of the 2017, the former Schalke defender has struggled to consistently impress in England and has been shown himself to be vulnerable defensively on numerous occasions.

With Monreal ageing, Unai Emery will soon need to identify a new first-choice left-back. So far, the 24-cap Bosnia and Herzegovina international has done little to convince that he’s worthy of stepping up to that more senior role in the squad.

If the Spanish manager is forced to buy a player to replace Monreal, instead of promoting Kolasinac, then the 25-year-old must consider his Arsenal career to be dead in the water.

Arsenal fans are certainly split on whether or not the powerful full-back will still come good at the Emirates, with only 54% of those who voted in our poll still of the opinion that Kolasinac has a future under Emery. See the full results below.
