According to French media outlet Paris United, Arsenal are one of a number of clubs showing an interest in Tanguy Ndombele after he shone during a season-long loan spell with Lyon, with new boss Unai Emery seemingly keen to bring a new defensive midfielder to the north London outfit, who would surely offload Alexandre Lacazette if they sign a £36m-linked striker this summer.

As well as the exciting 21-year-old, who established himself as one of the best in his position in Ligue 1 during the 2017/18 campaign despite his tender years, the Spanish manager is also reportedly eyeing a reunion with a player he signed during his time in charge with Sevilla, Steven Nzonzi.

The 29-year-old has experience of playing in the Europa League and the Champions League with the La Liga side, while he of course has also featured in the Premier League previously with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City.

We asked Arsenal fans to vote on our poll to see whether they would prefer Emery to bring Ndombele or Nzonzi to the Emirates Stadium this summer, and 58% of them said they would prefer a deal for the former.

That perhaps suggests that those supporters would prefer their board and manager to look to the future rather than bringing in a player that turns 30 years of age in December, as well as bringing in a young player that looks to have a huge future ahead of him in the middle of the park.
