It was reported last week that new Arsenal boss Unai Emery is willing to sell players to fund a move for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.

The Gunners have made a number of signings already this summer but money's clearly a little tight in north London - none of their acquisitions have cost more than £19million and Emery is now looking at player sales to facilitate further arrivals.

But Arsenal certainly have a lot of money tied up in their squad already, so we posed five potential solutions to Arsenal fans in the form of players the club should consider cashing in on - Shkodran Mustafi, Aaron Ramsey, Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Mesut Ozil.

And almost half of all Arsenal fans who took part in our poll - 44% - would feel most comfortable selling the 20-cap German international, whose unconvincing performances for the Gunners last season saw him miss out on a place in Joachim Lowe's World Cup squad.

But that return was just short of a winning majority, so we have a follow-up question for fans of the north London club. Which player would you prefer to have on the books next season? Let us know by voting below...
