Swansea City are on the verge of relegation to the Championship following their disastrous 1-0 defeat against Southampton at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night, and following the clash Arsenal fans revealed on Twitter that they would consider re-signing former goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Despite the fact the Welsh club look set to go down – barring a win for them, a loss for Saints and a 10-goal swing on Sunday – the 33-year-old has once again been one of his side's most consistent performers between the sticks.

The Poland international left the Emirates Stadium in 2014 having made 78 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners across seven seasons, but he often came under scrutiny for his displays and mistakes.

Fabianski has since matured and improved during his time in south Wales however, and it would be no surprise to see a Premier League club snap him up this summer.

We asked Arsenal supporters to vote on our poll to see whether they would back a move for the Pole this summer with Petr Cech coming under huge criticism from the Emirates faithful on Twitter and with David Ospina out of contract in 12 months' time, and 59% of them said they would.

Whoever the north London outfit's new manager is going to be, they certainly have a lot of work to do defensively to try and make the club top flight title challengers again.
