Arsene Wenger says he’s interested in bringing Sevilla’s Geoffrey Kondogbia to Arsenal but admits there are plenty of clubs after him.
The 20-year-old is expected to be at the centre of a Europe-wide tug-of-war this summer after impressing a large number of clubs during his first season in Spain.
With Sevilla set to sell off a number of their big names players due to their financial issues, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are all reportedly poised to make a move for Kondogbia.
Arsenal have now entered the race for the former Lens midfielder, with Wenger revealing he is a player who does interest him.
“I don’t really want to talk about Kondogbia too much because everyone’s after him at the moment,” he told the Sun.
“When you ask ‘Are you also interested?’ what do you expect me to say?”
Sevilla look set to lose Alvaro Negredo, Jesus Navas and Kondogbia this summer as the club look to service their crippling debts.
