Not content with scoring one goal for Arsenal in their Premier League clash against Stoke City, Alexis Sanchez added a second to his tally early in the second half to make it 3-0 and put the game to bed.
Known for his fancy skills, his rapid runs and his wonderful finishing, Sanchez’s second goal was by no means a beauty – not that the Chilean would care one bit as he increases his tally for the season to 17.
The 26 year-old’s free-kick took a big deflection off the Potters wall and squirmed in via the post, with Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic coming agonisingly close to keeping the effort out.
The goal allowed Arsenal to spend the rest of the second half in second gear, safe in the knowledge that victory was virtually secured.
The win takes Arsenal up to fifth in the table with 36 points, while Stoke remain in 11th with 26 points.
