Spaniards want huge £50m fee from Arsenal for Mustafi as they chase Pedro move

Valencia are demanding £50m from Arsenal for the signature of Shkodran Mustafi as they seek to raise enough money to move for Chelsea winger Pedro, according to reports from the Mirror.

The Gunners are currently short of cover at centre-back, with rookie summer signing Rob Holding starting their first two Premier League matches of the new campaign following injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista.

Mustafi has emerged as a target for Arsene Wenger’s side during this period of instability, but reports claim that they will have to pay £50m to lure him to the Emirates Stadium.

Valencia are eyeing Chelsea’s Pedro as they seek to add quality to their own squad and are looking to raise funds through the sale of the 24-year-old defender.

As the stats show, Mustafi impressed for Valencia in La Liga last season, notching 30 appearances across the campaign.

The defender contributed two goals and won 87 aerial duels in total, but his 168 clearances were, perhaps, his standout return.
