Surely it’s over for Arsenal… oh wait

If only Arsenal hadn’t started the season so poorly… The Gunners were some way off the pace over the winter thanks to some stuttering results, but 2015 has very much been a different story at the Emirates Stadium.

From the usual ‘fourth place push’ of the final eight games of the season, the Gunners actually find themselves on the peripheries of the title race, which was unthinkable back when fans were dishing out some verbal abuse in Arsene Wenger’s direction in Stoke!

Arsenal currently sit in second place… SECOND PLACE, trailing Chelsea by seven points (albeit the Blues have a game in hand). Although the margin looks tricky to overturn, the north Londoners can take solace in the fact that only Barcelona have outperformed them since the calendar flipped over to 2015 in Europe’s top five leagues.

2.50-points-per-game for the remaining seven fixtures? Who knows what’s possible…
