“Thank you legend” – Arsenal fans thank Aaron Ramsey before imminent departure

After more than a decade in north London, Aaron Ramsey has finally ended his Arsenal tenure and Gunners fans took to Twitter to exclaim their gratitude for the Welsh midfielder after his final day at Arsenal’s training ground.

Initially brought in from Cardiff in 2008, Ramsey overcame crippling injuries to become a focal point of Arsene Wenger’s side that won three FA Cup trophies.

The all-action midfielder etched his name into Arsenal folklore when he scored the extra-time winner against Hull to claim the 2014 FA Cup and curtail a nine-year trophy drought.

Whilst Arsenal’s season is not yet finished, with the Europa League final against Chelsea still to come, a thigh injury suffered against Napoli has seen Ramsey’s season already come to an end.

With his contract set to expire this summer, the 28-year-old signed a bumper deal to join Juventus where he is reportedly set to earn £400,000 per week.

But Gunners fans on Twitter have managed to push their disappointment to one side in order to thank the influential midfielder for his contributions.
