It has been a rather perplexing season at the Emirates. More than ever, Arsenal Football Club has come under considerable scrutiny from the press and their own fans, for poor showings in the two domestic cups, the Champions League and in the Premier League.
Now that we are firmly into the business end of the current campaign, it seems that the Gunners will once again pick up their consolation prize of qualifying for the Champions League, but there is a sense that improvements will be required for next season.
As every year in football goes by, there are lessons to be learned. Sometimes these lessons are positive, and sometimes negative, but either way, they must be taken on board to affirm an understanding of what has happened, how and why it has happened, and whether or not it will happen again.
