Arsenal travel to Bournemouth hoping to secure a third successive league win as the Gunners aim to remain in contention for a first Premier League title since 2004.

Following the Gunners' two victories over the festive period, it's clear Arsene Wenger was granted his Christmas wish of six points. Nonetheless, if the French manager wants to ensure niggling injuries don't affect his first-team squad, he must make some changes on the south coast.

Overcoming Bournemouth this season is easier said than done as the Cherries are enjoying their best ever top-flight season, finishing 2016 in the top half of the table.

But with Arsenal enduring their fourth league outing in the space of just two-and-a-bit weeks, Wenger needs to risk a lesser XI against Bournemouth to make sure injury problems don't collapse yet another title bid from the north London outfit.

With that in mind, we take a look at three fringe players who should start at the Vitality Stadium.

Midfielder Aaron Ramsey has lost his starting berth in the Arsenal side this season.

During Euro 2016, the Wales international was arguably the midfielder of the tournament, but he's struggled to have the same impact at club level this term.

An injury on the opening day of the season curtailed the start to his campaign. But with us now at the halfway stage of the season and the fixtures starting to mount, now is the time to bring Ramsey back in.

Lucas Perez

The summer signing has hardly set the world alight at Arsenal but showed against Crystal Palace that he is deserving of an opportunity to play once again.

Perez' career in north London hasn't worked out as he would have hoped, as injuries and the form of Alexis Sanchez have kept him out of the starting XI.

A goal at the Vitality Stadium could give Arsene Wenger some serious selection headaches in the coming weeks.

Carl Jenkinson

Since Hector Bellerin's returned to fitness four weeks ago, the Spaniard has started every game for the Gunners.

To avoid another injury to their number one right-back however, the Gunners should drop Bellerin for the visit to Bournemouth, allowing Carl Jenkinson a chance to convince Wenger he deserves to continue his career at the Emirates Stadium.

Jenkinson still has a lot to prove at Arsenal, despite joining the club nearly six years ago.
