Three reasons Sunderland will cause an upset vs Arsenal
Arsenal results flattering their form
On paper, it’s hard to dispute Arsenal’s fantastic run. They’ve not lost a game in any competition since the opening day of the season and had it not been for that scoreless draw with Middlesbrough last weekend, they would be amid an eight-game winning stretch.
But look a little closer at the score lines, and it’s not as if Arsenal have been completely running away with it. Indeed, they could only beat Burnley and Swansea by a single goal, making a right pig’s ear of the latter win, and couldn’t even find the net against Boro at home.
That suggests Arsenal’s results are flattering them a little – and hints at an intrinsic weakness against those scrapping for their lives at the foot of the Premier League table.
