Three signings Sven Mislintat must make so Arsenal are title contenders under Emery

Arsenal appointed Unai Emery as their new manager on Wednesday, and the Spaniard will already be assessing his squad and deciding which areas need strengthening before the 2018/19 season gets underway in August.

The north London outfit will want to give the 46-year-old and the fans, who would love their club to sign a £63m midfielder this summer according to Twitter, a squad that will ensure they significantly improve on the sixth-place finish they achieved this season and secure a top-four spot minimum next term, after once again missing out on Champions League qualification.

Meanwhile, head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has already been responsible for bringing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the club from Borussia Dortmund during the January transfer window, and with his expert knowledge of the Bundesliga he could target more individuals playing in the German top flight.

However, there is plenty more talent around Europe they should look to invest in to take the Gunners to the next level and give their new boss the best possible chance of competing for the Premier League title once again.
