Three youngsters who could be key for Arsenal next season

Arsenal is known for its nurturing of young talent. With excellent training facilities, coaching staff and scouts, it’s no surprise that the Gunners have remarkable talent emerging. Here are 3 young players who could be key next season:

  • Héctor Bellerín

Bellerín was named in the PFA Team of the Year after an accomplished campaign in defence for the Gunners, putting in 36 league appearances, making 47 tackles, creating 22 chances and scoring one goal. The 21-year-old ex-Barcelona youngster has been touted to have a huge future in the game by Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger, with both his maturity and his determination to establish his first-team credentials earning him deserved praise from the manager and pundits alike.

  • Alex Iwobi

Arsenal have a hugely promising young star on their hands in the form of Alexi Wobi. Iwobi, who turned 20 last week, looks like a player who could become an Arsenal regular for years. He also cost the club nothing having joined while still at primary school. He starts most games out on the left flank, but one of his greatest strengths is his ability to interchange positions with Ozil, Sanchez and even Danny Welbeck, adding fluidity and balance to the Arsenal attack.

  • Mohamed Elneny

Arsène Wenger’s side maintained an unbeaten run throughout the month of April and Elneny’s presence in the middle of the park was a major contributing factor. The Egypt international, who joined from FC Basel for around £5million in January, has added balance and composure to the heart of the team with a string of impressive displays. The 23-year-old has covered more ground than anyone else on the pitch in each of his three Premier League starts.

With these 3 starlets ready to lead the team, the future is bright for Arsenal.
