Vice-captain a driving instructor, defender too loud… Arsenal stars reveal travel habits

As Chris Rea once highlighted, driving home for Christmas is a big thing. Although not all of us face a long trip back to where we whence came, there is a certain romantic angle to getting in your car and heading off onto the road to get back to loved ones, and Europcar – Arsenal’s official car and van rental partner – have asked a host of Gunners stars for their dream driving scenario around this festive period… and there are some cracking answers!

We’ll kick off with Calum Chambers, who believes that club vice-captain Per Mertesacker would be “like a driving instructor”, perhaps as he’s used to marshalling things from the back. However, we’d be more worried about the legroom the giant German would need!

Moving on, Petr Cech wouldn’t want Gabriel blasting out funny videos, while Aaron Ramsey goes down a similar theme with Kieran Gibbs’ music taste.

Finally, Hector Bellerin reckons compatriot Nacho Monreal, who is seemingly a bit of a chatterbox, wouldn’t be the ideal traveling companion.
