Wantaway Arsenal target could prefer Spain move

It will only end in tears

Luis Suarez is considering legal action over Liverpool, with a belief that a clause in his contract has not been fulfilled, the Evening Standard reports.

The wantaway Uruguayan has stated his belief that Arsenal’s transfer fee of £40,000,001 should allow him to leave Anfield in pursuit of Champions League football, however Liverpool have a different interpretation of the contract.

However, Suarez has not specifically mentioned a desire to join Arsenal in his comments, and instead he may be hoping to spark renewed interest from Real Madrid.

Allegedly, Los Blancos could consider making a bid for the striker should the Premier League committee side with the Uruguayan and thus set his transfer fee at £40million-plus.

This is not the first time a dispute such as this would need to be settled in this manner. Gabriel Heinze’s proposed move from Manchester United to Liverpool in 2007 was not successful following the Premier League ruling against the transfer.

Suarez will be hoping not to endure the same fate, and while he is happy to join Arsenal’s ranks, he will be hoping Real are considering a transfer. It appears this may not be the case however, given the high transfer fee which they will already need to fork out on Welshman Gareth Bale, paving the way for the Gunners to smash their own transfer record with a bid for the contorversial forward.
