For almost as long as we can remember, Chelsea and Manchester City have been contesting a two horse Premier League title race. The blue-clad duo have spent the majority of the campaign so far out in front and have, despite the Londoners enjoying the lion’s share of time at the top, swapped positions with some regularity.
However, that could all be about to change, with Arsenal very much resurgent. The Gunners have scooped maximum points from their last eight games, making them the form team when it matters. City, who lost at Burnley yesterday, are well and truly wobbling, while over the same period Chelsea have dropped four points.
Arsene Wenger’s men now trail Jose Mourinho’s troops by just six points, and a loss against Southampton – who are certainly a good side this season – could blow the race wide open!
#WengerOut seems a distant memory…
