Despite signing Lucas Perez over the summer, Arsenal’s hunt for a striker is seemingly not over. Indeed, the Gunners have been aligned with Porto hit-man Andre Silva of late, with reports from O Jogo having revealed the 20-year-old is being ‘scouted’ by the London club.
Naturally, not a whole host of Arsenal supporters know who he is, but any watching Portugal in international action last night would have been wowed by the youngster.
Granted, the European champions were only playing the Faroe Islands, but Silva netted a hat-trick in a 6-0 win over the minnows to show off his skill set.
None of his three goals were what you’d would call show-stoppers, but Silva displayed his ‘fox in the box’ instincts to bag all three with just 37 minutes on the clock.
It’s all the more impressive considering the World Cup qualifier was only his fourth appearance for Portugal, after making his debut in August.
