Wilshere drops hint about his Arsenal future

Arsenal fans have been digesting the news that Unai Emery will kick off the club’s new era, but there is still plenty of issues with regards to some of the players.

Jack Wilshere ‘s future has been a talking point for some time given the fact that his contract expires in a few months’ time.

The midfielder has been plagued by injury problems for the better part of his senior career.

Last season, the 26-year-old was sent to Bournemouth and managed to gain some much-needed minutes.

Wilshere returned to Arsenal with an injury, but he was able to avoid fitness problems towards the end of the campaign.

In total, the midfielder, who is valued at £16.2m by Transfermarkt, made 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and creating six assists.

Prior to Arsene Wenger’s resignation, the Frenchman reiterated numerous times that he wanted Wilshere to stay.

Following Emery’s appointment, the midfielder’s future remains unclear but he has seemingly hinted that he could be staying put.

According to football.london, Wilshere ‘liked’ Arsenal’s official Instagram post of Emery sitting in the Emirates seats, with the caption: ‘Looking forward to next season, Gooners?’

Of course, it is not an official confirmation that he will be at Arsenal next season, but he is clearly excited about life under Emery.
